Privacy Policy
AI Job Agents is local-first by design. The sensitive parts of your job search — resumes, application history, contacts, and credentials — never leave your Mac. This policy explains the little we do collect, and the much that we don't.
1. Our approach: local-first
The app runs on your computer. Your resumes, application history, scored jobs, contacts, and credentials live in an encrypted local database and the macOS Keychain. There is no cloud account with us holding your job-search data.
The only outbound calls the app makes are to the job boards you enable, the application portals you apply to, and the model providers you authorize. We designed it this way on purpose.
2. Information we collect
We keep what we collect deliberately small:
- Waitlist & contact details. If you join the waitlist or email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write.
- Billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled by a third-party payment processor. We receive a record of the transaction and your plan, not your full card number.
- Usage counters for metered plans. To enforce monthly plan limits, we may process counts of metered actions (for example, AI Applications Completed). These counts are tied to your subscription, not to the content of any application.
- Basic website analytics. Our marketing site uses privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand traffic.
3. What stays on your device
The following never leaves your Mac except to the third parties you explicitly authorize:
- Your resumes and every tailored variation of them.
- Your application history and the answers you provide.
- Scored jobs, notes, and your fit-score history.
- Contacts and outreach drafts.
- Portal credentials and AI provider keys, stored in the macOS Keychain.
4. How we use information
We use the limited information we collect to:
- Operate the waitlist and respond to your messages.
- Provide, bill, and support your subscription, and enforce plan limits.
- Process refunds you request, under our Refund Policy.
- Improve the Service and keep it secure. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Third parties and sub-processors
We rely on a small set of service providers to run the business side of the Service:
- Payment processing — to handle subscriptions and refunds securely.
- Model providers — when you use a Managed plan, we provision AI keys so the agents can run. Application content is sent to the model provider to perform the task you requested.
- Hosting & analytics — to serve this website and measure aggregate traffic.
Each provider processes only what it needs for its function, and is bound by its own terms and privacy obligations.
6. What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not buy contacts from data brokers. We do not mine your resumes or applications to build profiles. Outreach contacts are sourced from public job postings and company sites, never from contact-enrichment brokers.
7. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses only what is necessary to function and to gather aggregate, privacy-respecting analytics. We do not use cross-site advertising trackers. The app itself does not need cookies to run on your Mac.
8. Data retention
We retain waitlist, billing, and support records only as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. Local app data is retained on your device for as long as you keep it — you can delete it at any time by removing it from the app or your Mac.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email us at hello@aijobagents.co and we will respond within a reasonable time.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. On your device, sensitive data lives in an encrypted database and the macOS Keychain. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but local-first design keeps the most sensitive data off our servers entirely.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. International users
We operate from the United States. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that the limited information we collect may be processed in the U.S. and other countries with different data-protection laws.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
